The book was apparently geared for teenage readers, and I'd have to say that it would be good for anyone over about 12 years old. As of this writing, I am 52 years old, and although I found the book to be just a bit on the simple side, I still enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a story with a nice, short adventure in it.
